    A dream finally came true on the morning of January 6, 2017 for Kendall Haney, a 2013 graduate of NYU Tisch/Kanber: "The Trail to Udugu" her first script for the new series The Lion Guard appeared on The Disney Channel.     BORROWED TIME SCREENING AND SPECIAL RECRUITMENT PRESENTATION FROM NYU ALUMNS AT PIXAR

    On October 7th, Kanbar Institute of Film and Television welcomed Ryan Howe, Andrew Coats and Lou Hamou-Lhadj of Pixar Animation Studios for a special recruitment presentation. After screening their short film, Borrowed Time, Coats and Hamou-Lhadj, both alums of the Film and Television | Animation Area, interviewed students for internship positions at Pixar.     NBR STUDENT GRANT SCREENING OF TWO NYU FILMS

    On September 13th, the National Board of Review held a NBR Student Grant screening that included four animated films, two of them from NYU Animation. The two films shown were Christina Benenati's "Otter of the Underground", a stop motion film about an otter and a mole's wild adventure in an underground gold mine, and Cyrus Cumming's "Green Monster", a touching 3D film about a father and his son's pinewood derby project.
